Yep, I made this up. Since discovering a local Tart Cherry Grenadine made from real Wisconsin cherries, I’ve been concocting as many uses as possible for it.
2 oz. Quince & Apple Tart Cherry Grenadine
1 oz. blood orange bitters (I found mine at Whole Foods)
1 oz. fresh squeezed lime juice
3 oz. good dark rum (buy local if you’re in Madison!)
plenty of ice
orange slices, cherries
1. Put first four ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and mix vigorously.
2. Fill two tall glasses with ice and fill about halfway with your mixture.
3. Top off with sparkling water. Make as strong or weak as you like. You can leave out the rum for a delicious non-alcoholic summer drink.
4. Garnish with orange slices and top with a cherry if desired.
